To pre-measure allocated trades and sections at contract start up

To complete site inspections on a regular basis, recording measurements and variations

To communicate with the Operations Team on site on a daily basis, understanding the work programme and progress on site

To measure work completed from drawings, schedules and variations

To measure work completed on site but not specified in the drawings and report them accordingly

To report discrepancies between actual construction and drawings

To assist the QS in preparing costs and new rates

To convert all items measured into a final measure valuations

To agree quantities with the PQS representatives

To measure Sub Contractor work for tender enquiries and monthly payments

To collate contra charges from site

To measure Sub Contractor work for final accounts

To assist the QS to prepare sub contract documents, payments and final accounts

To prepare measurements required for budgets and estimates

To measure labour productivity through standard measures

To check costs on a monthly basis for reconciliation and reporting

To monitor and check the accuracy of work delivered by self and subordinates
