Rolls and Responsibilities:

Job Function (day-to-day responsibilities):

Perform supplier quality assurance functions of external raw materials and electrical component suppliers

Prepare test criteria, process and procedures for product inspection

Perform periodic supplier visits for continual monitoring of quality manufacturing

Perform initial evaluations & audits of proposed new suppliers, and re-evaluation of existing suppliers

Process, report, and track Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs)

Perform RISK ASSESSMENTS of the supply chain (ex: obsolescence avoidance, sole suppliers)

Carry out supplier audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP).

Assist supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities a:nd

other risks

Support Engineering on new products to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards

Collate and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities

Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)

Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers

Support the Quality Manager to monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance

Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPis) in order to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system

Assist with Initial approvals and FAR (First Article Inspection)

Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products

Undertake special projects as required,

Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.

Support QMS activities and perform Internal audits
