Responsibilities:

Quality Control:

Implement and manage quality control processes for optical system design.

Conduct inspections and assessments of optical components, subsystems, and complete systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Testing and Validation:

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for optical systems, including performance testing, reliability testing, and environmental testing.

Collaborate with engineering teams to define testing requirements and protocols.

Documentation:

Create and maintain detailed documentation of quality standards, testing procedures, and inspection records.

Prepare reports summarizing quality metrics, issues, and recommendations for improvement.

Root Cause Analysis:

Investigate and analyze any quality issues, defects, or failures in optical systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvement in optical system design and quality assurance.

Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and overall product quality.

Regulatory Compliance:

Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and certifications related to optical systems.

Ensure that optical system designs comply with relevant regulatory requirements.

Collaboration:

Work closely with optical engineers, product designers, and manufacturing teams to address quality-related concerns and optimize system performance.

Participate in design reviews and provide input on quality aspects of optical system development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in quality control or assurance, with a focus on optical system design.
