The tasks and duties of the Plant QA/QC Inspector includes (but not
limited) to the following:
Prepare QA/QC documents (Quality plan, Inspection & Test plan,
QA/QC procedure, WPS, Welder qualification record, Operating
Procedures, Method Statements etc.) related to modification,
repair or maintenance project works.
Prepare QA/QC documents required for Shutdown planning, review
work packs from shutdown team, identify and perform critical
material inspections prior to shut down, perform inspections and
provide support during shutdown execution, including for discovery
repair works on equipment and piping.
Perform and ensure stage-wise inspections for
repair/modification/replacement jobs undertaken in the plant,
including material inspection, PMI, witness of pressure tests,
provide inputs for Risk Screening, Formal Risk Assessments,
evaluate deviations request for hydrotest waivers, etc.
Perform valve inspection, review MTC and requirements with
respect to asset specification, witness valve testing at Workshop or
Contractors shop and prepare Valve Test Reports.
Review Contractor QA/QC documentation related to job/ project
performed for maintenance.
Perform inspection at site, warehouse and at the CONTRACTOR
premises on purchased or rented received material or equipment
such as valves, piping, gaskets, fittings, heat exchangers, pressure
vessels, lifting equipment, gas cylinders, etc., to check conformity
with purchase orders and specifications requirement.
Co-ordinate for required NDT, call off RT crew, review NDT reports,
interpret RT films, review PWHT charts & records,
Prepare QA/QC reports for the jobs performed with details/pictures
and maintain proper records/logs.
Should be conversant with Meridium (for QA/QC report
preparation), and SAP (for material and Work order details).
Interpret applicable material standards, specification, technical
data sheets, project specifications, and . requirements etc. to
evaluate the acceptance of
