Senior QA Tester

As a Senior Manual Tester within the Quality Assurance team you will be responsible for:

Providing creating and maintaining test data, running tests, occasionally developing scripts and overseeing the work of the Manual Testers. You will work both individually and collectively to support technology teams logging and explaining issues as part of your day to day testing role.

As part of your role you will assist the Senior and Middleweight Tests Analysts to carry out basic research and analysis of common testing faults identifying areas where service improvement or change is required and work with the Quality Assurance manager to ensure that the user and their needs are represented in solutions design.

You will be able to communicate with users of all abilities and technological proficiency

You will be working closely with the Test Manager to assist with strategy, planning and overall execution of end to end testing and helping to suggest ways of improving processes.

Having the ISTQB would be beneficial but not necessary, as long as you've got experience in complex manual testing.

The Software Testers will work collaboratively with the team of Engineers in an Agile environment, predominantly manually testing both desktop and web-based applications.

You must be able to demonstrate a positive, can do attitude.

Key skills:

Proven work experience in software quality assurance

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes

Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases

Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive software defect reports as JIRA tickets

Hands-on experience with testing on multiple browsers, operating systems, & devices

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum or Kanban development process

Experience in Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver / Java / Cucumber would be added advantage.
