Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive test scenarios and test cases to validate the functionality and accuracy of Power BI dashboards and reports using data
from Databricks.
Collaborate closely with business users, data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and design appropriate testing
strategies.
Execute test cases systematically to identify defects, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies within the Power BI dashboards and reports.
Perform data validation and reconciliation between Databricks and Power BI to ensure data integrity and consistency across the ecosystem.
Take ownership of the end-to-end testing process and maintain detailed documentation of test results, issues, and resolutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve datarelated issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality data products.
Continuously improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data quality assurance efforts.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in business, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience (8+ years) in quality assurance/testing roles with a focus on data validation, preferably involving Power BI and Databricks.
Proficiency in creating test scenarios, test cases, and executing test scripts for data-driven applications.
Strong understanding of SQL queries, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Familiarity with Power BI and Databricks or similar data visualization and processing tools
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve datarelated issues efficiently.
Experience in Agile or similar software development methodologies is a plus.
