Job Description:

Title: Sr QA Automation Engineer

Location: Banglore, India

Client: Equifax

Proficiency in at least one tool from the following categories:

Defect Tracking utilizing JIRA

Automated Testing: Junit, TestNG, Cucumber, Selenium, Java, LoadRunner, SoapUI

Database Tools: Cassandra, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Developer or other query tools

Other Tools: Jenkins, GIT, Putty, WinScp

5+ years of direct experience in software quality assurance & software testing.

Experience in architecting automation framework and implementing standard methodologies.

Strong programming, debugging/troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of test automation frameworks and have participated in / rolled out test automation initiatives.

Hands-on current experience authoring, building and adopting large scale, multi-functional automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration, database.

Deep understanding of different automation approaches (keyword driven, data driven, BDD, TDD, Gherkin spec and their application is a plus) and technology stacks (Java).

Demonstrable understanding of web services (REST), JSON and XML data formats.

Strong SQL Scripting skills.

Experience on Cloud would be added advantage

Ability to work in a sprint team environment or independently as needed

Very good understanding of SDLC process. Prefer: Agile/ Scrum/ XP

Excellent problem solving and communication skills

Thorough knowledge of software testing practices, including test planning, test automation - API and UI, and defect management
