Purchasing Executive

The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services for the organization, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with various departments to meet their purchasing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management: Oversee the end-to-end procurement process including supplier selection, negotiation, and order placement.

Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Evaluate and monitor supplier performance.

Order Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and requisitions.

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstock situations. Coordinate with inventory management teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Cost Control: Analyze market trends and pricing to make cost-effective purchasing decisions. Seek opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including contracts, orders, and supplier communications.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations in all purchasing activities.

Reporting: Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance to management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a similar industry.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and purchasing software.

Ability to analyze data and market trends.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
