Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement and Sourcing
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to procure goods and services for the company.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Source new and innovative products to maintain market competitiveness.
2. Inventory and Stock Management
Monitor stock levels and forecast demand to ensure product availability.
Collaborate with inventory and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
Resolve any supply chain disruptions that could impact availability or quality.
3. Supplier Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers, addressing concerns and setting improvement targets.
Ensure suppliers comply with company policies and ethical standards.
4. Market and Trend Analysis
Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings.
Stay updated on changes in the FMCG industry to anticipate shifts in demand or supply.
Identify opportunities to introduce new product lines or improve existing ones.
5. Budget Management and Cost Control
Manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost savings and value-for-money deals.
Monitor and report on procurement costs and savings achieved.
Implement cost-control measures without compromising on quality.
6. Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities.
Prepare and maintain procurement reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
