About the Project
Improving local governance institutions and democratic processes across 15 Gram Panchayats in Chitradurga Block, Chitradurga District, Karnataka. Key processes include intensive engagement with panchayats and citizens, developing a cadre of facilitators from within the panchayat and leveraging technology in the transformation process.
Your Opportunity
You will provide leadership to the team and manage day to day operations and work closely with Anode’s core team in Bangalore. You will gain understanding of Anode’s methods and resources and develop training and implementation tools bringing in your understanding of legal and operational framework in the State, as well as towards suitability for the target group, viz the panchayat members and other stakeholders. You will guide the field team in a way that they immerse themselves in the activities and struggles of the panchayats and implement tools to develop a continuous learning and empowering environment. You will establish and
maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders related to the project, including funding partner, government agencies, civil society organiz and other partners.
Your Responsibilities
Setting up
• Setting up project office and instituting project structures
• Formalizing collaboration with government agencies at various levels
• Setting protocols based on requirements of funding partner: documentation, reporting, visits etc. Project methods and tools
• Gaining understanding of Anode’s beliefs and methods
• Developing / contextualizing resources and tools as per project priorities and deliverables Project Management
• Manage and drive the project: Timelines, resources and budgets
• Lead facilitation, implementation and documentation related to project steps
• Training, managing and guiding field team to ensure they meet their role requirements
• Develop understanding of legal statutes, rules and regulations of PR Act and allied laws impacting
