Under broad direction, this role plans and executes the contracting activities associated with engaging professional services in support of utility scale solar projects. This includes a full range of procurement and administrative activities associated with contracting including but not limited to qualifying contractors, issuing requests for proposals, evaluating proposals, drafting contract documents, managing contract document review, budget and invoice analysis, and contract closeout.
Developing, maintaining, and managing a network of qualified contractors to fulfil project needs. Leading and supporting relationship management which may include contract negotiation and conflict resolution.
Managing on boarding of new service providers by handling NDAs, MSAs, and other qualification paperwork.
Maintaining contractor database; overseeing and tracking compliance aspects of qualification.
Preparing, issuing, and managing RFPs including the development of bidder lists, verifying completeness of proposal packages, managing communication with bidders, receiving and reviewing proposals, producing commercial bid evaluation/analysis, and seeking/obtaining input from technical SMEs.
Managing and optimising the contracting strategy by balancing the requirements of project needs, deadlines, and cost.
Negotiating price, contract specifications, and other terms and conditions in conjunction with other internal departments or stakeholders as appropriate
