A Production Planning Coordinator in a pharmaceutical company is responsible for planning and coordinating production schedules, and ensuring that production meets quality standards and is delivered on time.
You will proactively communicate and coordinate with all manufactures, the procurement team and external vendors to monitor, assess and acquire packaging supplies to support the production schedule. In this role, you will utilize standard processes and a continuous improvement mindset to track inventory levels and analyse material usage.
Day to Day role and responsibility-
• Planning: Plan and organize production schedules, and prioritize operations to ensure minimum delay
• Coordination: Coordinate with the plant team for timely production as per priority list. Co-ordinate the logistics of the finished goods with the In house plant team or CDMO partner
• Quality: Ensure that production meets quality standards, Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
• Delivery and Insurance: Ensure that production is insured at the time of pickup and delivered to the warehouse on time
• Inventory: Monitor inventory levels to ensure there's neither an excess, nor a shortage of any product
• Communication: Report on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
• Negotiation and Problem-solving: Have a go-getter attitude and Handle production disruptions and productivity problems
• Cost: Watch costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
Requirements and skills
• Proven experience as production planner
• knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
• Working knowledge of MS Office
• Good at math and statistics
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
