Production Merchandiser Job Description:
Merchandiser is one of the most important person in the industry. So he/she has some very important responsibilities to conduct. Its responsibilities include all from buyers satisfaction to the factorys satisfaction.
1. Communicate with the buyer -
To keep the buyer in contact, to keep a healthy relationship with the buyer, a merchandiser must communicate with the buyer. So that company can have more orders and buyers can believe in the organisation.
2. Preparing time and action calendar -
Once the buyer places an order to the company, the merchandiser is made to prepare a time and action calendar which contains the dates at which various processes are going to happen till delivery. Once the time and action calendar is done it is approved by the buyer if its ok.
3. Execute the order -
After getting the order confirmed, the merchandiser starts to execute it. From buying the raw material, inspection to the delivery merchandiser makes it happen according to the time and action calendar.
4. Gets sample approved -
Before processing to the bulk production few samples like proto sample, fit sample, size set sample and many more according to the buyer have to be created and must be approved by the buyer. As per buyers tech pack sampling department creates various samples one by one after the merchandiser gets them approved by the buyer.
5. Preparing cost sheet -
As per buyers order merchandiser creates a cost sheet taking many aspects into consideration like raw material coat, production cost, maintenance cost and many other costs. It is a very challenging task for merchandisers because merchandisers have to keep cost per piece as low as possible, including the company's profit to remain stable in increased competition.
6. Prepare BOM -
BOM (Bill of Material) contains the price of various buying goods like raw material, trims, etc. Merchandiser creates BOM for every buying process to keep record of financial tran
