Job description

Detailed study & understanding of customer RFQs

Quote workout submitted RFQ requirements & submit cost proposal

Preparation of Supplier RFQs & time plan. Quote procurement & negotiation with suppliers.

Raising of project capex & follow up of management approvals.

Coordination with suppliers for design & development of assembly line machinery.

Participate in design reviews of mechanical. electrical & electronics aspects of machine with suppliers & internal team to arrive at optimized, cost effective design of machinery.

Supplier follow up on frequent basis & ensure project progress is as per time plan.

Participate in weekly review meeting & updation of project status to management time plan.

Perform Trials & validation of machines with supplier. Ensure machine is proved customer RFQ requirements & coordinate delivery to SMR site.

Coordinate with packaging supplier & ensure correct packing is done for the machines before dispatch.

Coordinate with internal marketing & finance team to support machine dispatch.

Visit customer sites, installation & commissioning of machines at customer sites.

Execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to:-

- The most appropriate assembly facilities are adopted for all new projects ensuring due consideration to DFMA and appropriate new advanced technologies

- Develop preferred vendor lists

- Reduce lead-time to implement assembly equipment

- Develop standards and specification to ensure accurate quotes from vendors, and equipment design is met

- Standardization and flexibility in machine design is fully utilized

- The latest technology and assembly processes are adopted where appropriate

- Accurate data is provided in order to complete quotations as required

- Customer concerns and production issues related to production facilities are resolved in a timely fashion

- Process and machine design improvements are built into future projects, where
