A Product Designer should be creative with an eye for shape and color. The person will be responsible for research and development of product design, deciding the materials, sample development, placing orders, and getting products ready in time.

Responsibilities:

1. Working on season themes, Design Development, Product development, and Pre-production sample development and handling vendors

2. Understanding of different materials and production methods

3. Have technical, practical and scientific knowledge and ability

4. Forecasting of trends

5. Preparing detailed final designs

6. Making presentations to potential clients in order to win new contracts

7. Working within budgets

8. Giving feedback to artisans and suppliers on sample improvements

9. Meeting with suppliers and managing the distribution of stock, by negotiating cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing on timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork

10. Meeting with clients, understanding their requirements and designing products
