Introduction to the opportunity:
We are currently seeking for a young and dynamic individual as a procurement manager for our natural ingredients and aroma chemicals sourcing. We are one of the top 10 essential oil manufacturing, trading, and distribution companies in India. We cater to many industries like, pharmaceuticals, food and flavors, Fragrances, home care, personal care, skin care, etc. We are 25+ year old company having manufacturing set ups across the globe and having clients spread across India and the globe. The current position is a part of expansion in different departments. The position will be based in Mumbai HQ and will report to General Manager and CEO directly and work with them on a day-to-day basis.
Job details:
• Responsible for total sourcing and procurement for the aroma chemical and natural ingredient division.
• Identification of potential suppliers from domestic and international market.
• Establishing contact with vendors.
• Creating vendor registration forms and vendor approval matrix.
• Evaluating vendors based on input received from them and as per standards set by the organization.
• Raising and approving purchase orders for domestic and international procurement.
• Creating annual and periodical purchase contracts.
• Performing risk assessment and risk analysis vendor wise, product wise and sector wise.
• Controlling procurement budgets and setting up practices and strategies for procurement cost saving.
• Preparing procurement reports.
• Reviewing existing vendor database, contracts, purchase orders and creating new vendors and possible new sources.
• Overseeing, managing procurement system and vendor management system.
• Negotiating with vendors and suppliers to close deals.
Abilities and skills required:
• Graduate with minimum 7 to 8 years of experience in buying natural ingredients, essential oils, flavor, and fragrance raw materials.
