About the role:
The role requires candidates to engage in procurement activities with strong experience in vendor management. He/She would be required to adapt cost-effective ways to support the procurement plan of the organization at large whilst ensuring necessary quality control and compliance.
Responsibilities:
Conduct market research to find new suppliers, supplier evaluation, and supplier audits
Communicate with vendors on product details, technical specifications, cost estimation, and other requirements.
Making purchase orders for suppliers
Ensure that procurement activities comply with company policies & relevant regulations.
Manage delivery schedules & maintain Inventory to prevent shortages or overstock.
Working with the factory team and updating on the arrival of goods
Classify vendors into categories by product type, cost, etc. & maintain vendor database for seamless management.
Evaluate vendor performance, review & provide feedback regularly.
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation, or other related Engineering disciplines
0-3 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in MS Office Suite is a must
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to negotiate with suppliers
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
