Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain documents for users, administrators, installation, configuration, online help, and API Documentation.

Be viewed as subject matter expert by stakeholders. Study engineering and product management artifacts, and interact with cross-functional teams to understand product features.

Learn the product through hands-on experience (installing, configuring, and testing features).

Play a key leadership role on significant projects and independently lead content quality by championing initiatives.

Peer review documents from other writers.

Create documentation project schedule and plans. Act as a sounding board for important project decisions.

Identify, initiate, and implement new ideas and innovative approaches for existing or emerging practices and create competitive advantage.

Lead ideating sessions with focus groups and stimulate deep thinking in others.

Anticipates future trends and help the group to respond. Demonstrates technical, functional, and industry knowledge of own area of the business.

Interface with customers for inputs/feedback and handle customer situations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent writing and communication skills

Ability to clearly express complex ideas and concepts

Strong Knowledge of best practices in technical communication domain

Ability and desire to collaborate with others

Innovation and working knowledge of the documentation tools, such as Madcap Flare, Acrobat, and FrameMaker
