Responsibilities:
Create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children ages 2-5, based on the preschool's philosophy and goals.
Plan and lead engaging and interactive lessons and activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Assess children's progress regularly, using a variety of methods such as observation, documentation, and assessment tools.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Maintain a safe and secure learning environment, following best practices for health and safety in a preschool setting.
Collaborate with other members of the preschool staff to ensure a high-quality program and positive learning environment for all children.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a preschool setting.
Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices for early childhood education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the preschool staff and adapt to changing circumstances.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
