PIPE FITTER

A pipe fitter's job is to install, maintain, and repair piping systems in industrial, commercial, and energy generation settings:

Planning: Use engineering designs to plan how to do a job

Assembling: Make or modify parts in a workshop, and assemble components for installation

Installing: Join pipework using welding and bolting methods

Maintaining: Perform regular inspections and maintenance

Repairing: Find and fix faults, and remove old pipework and fittings safely

Safety: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines

Collaboration: Partner with other construction professionals

Material selection: Select pipes and other materials and equipment needed for a project

Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements

Equipment: Install, maintain, and service pumps, valves, and related equipment

Support: Fabricate and install pipe supports, hangers, and equipment supports

PLUMBER

A plumber installs, repairs, and maintains water, gas, and other piping systems in homes, businesses, and factories. Their responsibilities include:

Installation: Installing plumbing fixtures, such as toilets and bathtubs, and appliances, such as water heaters and dishwashers
