tasks and duties of the Plant QA/QC Engineer includes (but not limited) to

the following:

 He shall undertake evaluation, calculation to provide competent

technical reviews, audits and advise for any matter pertaining to

QA/QC inspection activities

 Reviews Purchase Requisitions (PR) initiated by End Users for the

pressure retaining equipment, parts and spares. The PR is to be

checked for correctness of PR description, completeness of PR with

reference to the drawings, specifications & codes as applicable.

 Evaluates technical bids for the pressure retaining equipment and

allied activities and provide comments/report as applicable.

 Prepares and maintain a systematic record of review comments on

PRs and Technical Bid Evaluations, for proper documentation and easy

retrieval.

 Provides assistance for QA/QC matters related to procurement of

materials and equipment.

 Prepares Inspection Report (when required), and communicate any

issues related to the reports. Knowledge of general computer

programs of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.

 is a must for day to day working. Working knowledge of SAP as end

user is preferred. Job may also involve Internet surfing to gather any

required technical information.

 Maintains confidentiality of job related to data and documents as per

the requirements & procedures of the COMPANY.

 Reviews and comment on vendor’s QA/QC documentation related to

materials, equipment, fabrication.

 Assists in the preparation of Scope of Work, Contracts and Purchase

Orders from Quality/Certification and final documentation

standpoints.

 Conducts evaluation of Contractor and Subcontractor and provide

recommendation.

 Reviews and comment on the Contractor’s documents (Quality plan,

Inspection & Test plan, QA/QC procedure, WPS, Welder qualification

record, Operating Procedures, Method Statements etc.…) related to

modification, repair or maintenance projects.

 Prepare QA/QC Procedures and documents as required for

repairs/modification
