Job Description

PL/SQL Developer Job Details: Responsibilities • Designs, develops, enhances, debugs and implements software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications • Familiarity with software architectures, standard lifecycle concepts, practices, and procedures for development of JAVA based applications to include graphical user interfaces, web services, data extraction and transformation • Significant knowledge of PL/ SQL including tuning, triggers, and stored procedures • Prepare and package scripts and code across development, test and QA environments • Participate in change control planning for production deployments • Desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones • Strong analytical skills • Team building skills and exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or Information Systems • 5 + years of Oracle Database Development experience with latest development skills on Oracle • Experience using the PLSQL Developer or Toad software packages • Experience with writing ad hoc scripts and stored procedures • Experience developing queries, procedures, and reports for enterprise Oracle environment • Performance analysis with large data sets • Experience in designing and maintaining logical and physical data models • Experience in the design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes • Experience performing SQL and PL/SQL tuning • Experience writing stored procedures, packages and functions using PL/SQL. • Ability to create and tune complex SQL statements. • Experience using TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, etc. • Must also be capable of working independently with a minimum amount of supervision. • Good work ethic and ability to work well under pressure • Ability to be a key contributor in a team-oriented environment. • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL is a plus.
