We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. The candidate’s primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The candidate will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Design and develop applications for high-availability and performance. Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Define/adhere to best practices during implementation and integration and develop new features using PHP that are highly responsive both from API and UI perspectives. You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers.

• Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.

• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

• Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

• Write “clean”, well-designed code

• Produce detailed specifications

• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, Codelgniter, etc.)

• Understanding the fully synchronous behaviour of PHP.

• Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming.

• Understanding of open sources projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, etc.

• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc.
