We are looking for a PHP Developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. The candidates primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The candidate will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

Design and develop applications for high-availability and performance. Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Define/adhere to best practices during implementation and integration and develop new features using PHP that are highly responsive both from API and UI perspectives. You will be a part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities

Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers.

Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules.

Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

Integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

Write clean, well-designed code

Produce detailed specifications

Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality

Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

Skills and Qualifications

Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, Codelgniter, etc.)

Understanding the fully synchronous behaviour of PHP.

Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming.

Understanding of open sources projects like Joomla, Drupal, Wikis, osCommerce, etc.

Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc.
