Job Summary:
The Pastry Man is responsible for independently producing a wide variety of desserts, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods. This role supports the Pastry Chef in the production and service of a shift and section. The Pastry Man ensures the highest standards of quality and hygiene while following recipes and production schedules. Additionally, this position involves maintaining cleanliness and organization within the pastry section.
Pastry Man is responsible for independently producing a variety of desserts and pastries, ensuring high-quality standards. Working under the supervision of the Pastry Chef, this role involves following production plans, maintaining cleanliness in the section, and strictly adhering to recipes and schedules. The Pastry Man is also accountable for proper storage and labeling procedures based on HACCP standards, as well as maintaining order and following food safety standards. They play a crucial role in identifying and reporting HSEQ-related issues and opportunities for improvement. With a trade certificate in Bakery/Confectionery and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a reputable hotel or catering company, the Pastry Man possesses excellent pastry production skills and knowledge of basic food hygiene practices
