Designation: Pastry Chef (Commis I / Commis II / Commis III) – To be decided by Hiring manager (as per experience and expertise)
Experience: Candidates with minimum 1+ year of experience in preparing pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in a commercial setting.
Qualification: Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Pastry from a recognized institution is preferred.
Job Role: Assist in the preparation of high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation. Support the senior chefs in daily kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, bread, and other baked items as per standardized recipes.
2. Assist in designing and decorating cakes and other baked goods to meet company standards.
3. Ensure that all products meet the company's quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
4. Monitor ingredient freshness and maintain proper storage conditions.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
6. Properly handle kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs.
7. Assist in managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
8. Notify the supervisor of low stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
9. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
10. Follow instructions from senior chefs and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
