CMS Lab was established by Mr. RMD Nayar who had vast experience in the industry and had a long stint as a Scientist at NML (National Metallurgical Laboratory) which is a division of CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research).

CMS Lab commenced its operations in the year 1981 starting with testing of metal and its alloys, for its chemical, mechanical and metallography properties. Later on CMS Lab grew leaps and bounds to offer testing facilities for an array of substances like Plastic, Rubber, Building materials including water used for construction, Ores, Minerals, Heavy Metals and Paints for various properties like physical, chemical, mechanical and surface.
