Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wood Painter/Polisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring a high-quality and visually appealing appearance. This role requires a strong understanding of different wood finishes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently to meet project deadlines. The Wood Painter/Polisher will play a vital role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our wood products and ensuring the delivery of superior quality finishes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare wood surfaces for painting or polishing by sanding, filling, and ensuring a smooth and even texture.

Apply paint, varnish, lacquer, or other finishes to wood surfaces, using appropriate techniques and tools to achieve desired results.

Mix and match paint and varnish colors to achieve the desired finish and color tone, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Inspect finished wood surfaces for imperfections, ensuring a flawless and visually appealing appearance.

Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely completion of wood painting and polishing projects and meet production targets.

Maintain painting equipment and tools, ensuring their proper functioning and performing routine maintenance as needed.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and successful project completion.

Provide input on process improvements and suggest innovative solutions to enhance the wood painting and polishing processes.

Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to enhance skillset and contribute to the continuous improvement of our wood finishing operations.

Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Wood Painter/Polisher or a similar role in a reputable furniture manufacturing company.
