Job Summary:

The Packing Laborer is responsible for preparing products for shipment by packing them securely into boxes, crates, or other containers. The role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Packing Laborer ensures that all items are packed according to company standards and that the correct quantities and types of products are included in each shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Packing Products: Safely and efficiently pack products into appropriate containers, ensuring that all items are properly protected for transport.

Labeling: Accurately label packages with relevant information such as product details, destination, and shipping instructions.

Quality Control: Inspect items before packing to ensure they are free from defects and meet quality standards.

Inventory Management: Keep track of packing materials and report any shortages or issues to the supervisor.

Equipment Operation: Use packing equipment, such as tape dispensers, sealing machines, and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of packed items and shipments.

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to meet daily packing goals and ensure timely shipment of products.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is an advantage but not required.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Good physical condition, capable of lifting and moving heavy items.

Basic math skills.

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to [specify weight]).

Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
