About the job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for International Sourcing, Inventory Planning, Procurement, Order Placement and Coordination with factories, price working for projects, shipment documents and also who can help us collect data on all of our operational procedures and work with Head of Operations and operations/sales teams to optimize the performance of these divisions. This person will be like an internal consultant and change agent focused on optimizing of all operations.
In order to succeed in this position, the candidate must be organized and have excellent communication, email management, and discipline about maintaining a tasks list and following that rigorously every day.
Responsibilities
Working on sourcing new factories and product developments
Strong negotiations with factories on pricing, production timelines
Working on prices for projects and assist sales team with estimations for bidding process
Plan for inventory forecast, work together with warehouse to ensure proper inventory is planned
Order placements to factories, coordination with factories and internal finance team for payments processing
Preparing landed price list of all the shipments
Preparing MIS Reports
Effectively communicate production and order progress to key stakeholders
Develop metrics for each division or process that we want to reach
Develop reports for each operational division (domestic procurement) or operational process (order fulfilment) on these metrics
Evaluate how to optimize each division for the measurement systems chosen. For example, if we see a time lag on a project, we would expect this person to go back to evaluate the root cause of this time lag and to provide input to you. Then he/she would work with the operating teams and head of operations to make changes by implementing improved process,
