Position Overview:
As a Nursing Supervisor in our hospital, you will be a key member of the nursing leadership team, responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing activities during your assigned shift. Your role involves ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to maintain a safe and efficient hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision:
Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff on your assigned shift.
Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing personnel, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and standards.
Patient Care Oversight:
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities, ensuring the delivery of quality and compassionate nursing care.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to address patient needs and concerns.
Staffing and Scheduling:
Participate in the development of nursing schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient care demands.
Address and manage staffing shortages by coordinating with nursing staff and adjusting schedules as needed.
Training and Development:
Facilitate orientation and ongoing training for nursing staff.
Identify learning needs and support professional development opportunities for the nursing team.
Policy Adherence:
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Address and resolve any issues related to policy violations or non-compliance.
Patient Advocacy:
Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, addressing concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance the patient experience.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care through regular assessments.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
Emergency Response:
Act as a point of contact during emergency situations, coordinating nursing staff and resources
