· Weigh and measure newborns

· Monitor the patient’s vital signs and heart rate etc.

· Study patient history and health assessments

· Explain and demonstrate breastfeeding techniques

· Monitor patient postpartum and be available for questions or concerns

· Participate in research and further educational opportunities.

* Suggest the patient regarding usage of medicine.

· Perform CPR or other emergency measures if needed

Midwife Requirements and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing and Midwifery and certification from any recognized Board; should have gone through internship .

· Must be registered as a nurse in the state.

· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Should have the knowledge of Odia language .

· Calm and cool-headed with a positive attitude
