1. Work on the integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic

2. Work on writing reusable, testable, and efficient code

3. Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

5. Work on the integration of data storage solutions (may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.)

6. Work on user authentication and authorisation between multiple systems, servers, and environments

7. Work on the integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

8. Work on understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

9. Work on understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop and optimising output to match the specific platform

10. Work on creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

11. Work on implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
