Job Purpose

A. Enable existing NGO board members to increase their understanding on governance and promote best governance practices in their respective organizations

B. Enroll external people who are interested to serve on NGO boards and build their capacities to support them to join NGO boards to promote independent board members in NGOs

Key Responsibilities:

A. Design program strategy and implementation plan for the program which align with DF strategic plans for program

B. Work with ED to develop annual plans, budgets, human resources to meet the overall goals of the program

C. Build networks and linkages to ensure required external Fellows are recruited

D. Design the training, orientation courses for both existing board members and fellows in order to enhance their skills in governance

E. Work closely with NGO leaders to support and handhold them in order to adapt best governance practices and take required decisions

F. Mentor and Guide fellows to ensure them joining to the board and retaining on the boards as contributing members

G. Developed all the required process, materials, manuals etc that are required for the program

H. Hire people based on the need and manage all the team members

I. Co-ordinate with other DF program heads and members in order to align with timelines

J. Build alumni of fellows and organize quarterly interactions

K. Provide required monthly, quarterly reports, data and all other required documents that are needed for management and to any donors supporting program

L. Be part of the senior management team to contribute for the overall growth of the organization
