1. Neuro Anaesthesiologist
Job Responsibilities: A Neuro Anesthesiologist provides anesthesia to surgical cases involving the Brain and other operations of the Neurological Surgeries and other procedures ranging from minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, and complex multi-stage surgery. The Neuro anesthesiologist is often responsible for supervision of the Machine to keep complete body steady during Surgery. He or she will also monitor a patient's physical condition through use of invasive monitors, in addition to keeping an eye on the patient's bodily reactions to drugs needed during a surgical procedure. These specialized anesthesiologists also work with procedures like esophageal resection and all types of video-assisted surgery.
2. Intensivist
Job Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of intensivist include the ability to perform the following functions: physical examination and assessment of patients, interpretation of diagnostic test results, management of the airway, pharmacological management and emergency cardio version defibrillation.
The intensivist has the primary responsibility for the ICU patients care versus acting as a consultant, as many specialists do. In this role, he or she leads a team of caregivers who are experts in different specialties. The intensivist also oversees the many decisions involved in a critically ill patients care, and coordinates all the other services the patient may need.
