We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. The MIG Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using MIG welding techniques. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Set up welding equipment, including selecting the appropriate welding tools and adjusting settings as needed.
Perform MIG welding on various metal materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Ensure welded parts meet quality standards and specifications, including dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.
Inspect welds for defects and make necessary adjustments to welding techniques to maintain quality.
Operate cutting equipment, such as plasma cutters and oxy-fuel torches, to prepare metal surfaces for welding.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of welding equipment and materials.
Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality targets.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a MIG Welder or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Certification in MIG welding preferred.
Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
Willingness to work overtime as required to meet production demands.
