Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct microbiological analysis on raw ingredients and finished products to determine their compliance with specifications. Follow up with the first line action steps as necessary.
• Maintains microbiological lab equipment and supplies. Oversees calibration of critical laboratory equipment to ensure conformity to standards. Assures that media are prepared in a timely manner. Prepares media for microbiological testing use.
• Assures microbiological records are current and accurate
• Provide routine laboratory support
• Providing technical guidance, coaching, and training
• Assist in writing and reviewing protocols and reports
• Coordinating with lab managers to ensure successful execution of technical protocols.
• Responsible for on-time delivery of new QC test method and instrument SOPs, and approving new QC test method and instrument SOPs.
• Supporting test method and instrument troubleshooting, review of test methods, SOP review and revision, regulatory reports etc. as needed
• Maintain knowledge base of new technologies in microbiology
• Other duties as assigned.
Desired Candidate Profile
The incumbent should be . in Microbiology.
Minimum practical experience of 1 year in similar position shall be an added advantage. Experience in a medical devices industry preferred.
The candidate should have sound basic knowledge of microbial techniques. Knowledge of PCR techniques would be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of windows word/excel/power point preferred.
Good communication skills along with command over English language are desirable.
