PRODUCTION MANAGER
We are a 20 year old, family run, small, export company which makes high quality hand embroidered clothes for some of the world's leading designers. Please see our work on Instagram - @devi_exports to understand the high level of quality and detail we need to deliver our clients every day.
The role is that of Production Manager- it would involve carefully understanding all the clients needs and instructions for both sampling and production, and then executing the embroidery and sewing flawlessly by collaborating with the artisans. Also need to keep track of costs and materials being used, and be able to work with urgency and efficiency.
You would also be expected to do a lot of the fabric cutting by yourself. There is no actual designing work involved, only efficient execution.
This is a very hands-on job, there is very little computer work involved, more about very efficiently executing our sampling and production requirements, and being flexible and eager to learn while there is less urgent work.
This is a family run company, not a corporate set up.
We normally ask people to intern with us for two months during which to assess whether they are a good fit and whether they are enjoying the work. After this they join full time.
