Job Description

An MRD (Medical Records Department) Executive is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining medical records in healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and healthcare organizations. They ensure that patient records are accurately documented, properly filed, easily accessible for medical staff, and compliant with relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Job Description:Key Responsibilities:

Medical Records Management:

Maintain and Organize Records: Manage and maintain patient medical records, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and up-to-date.

Filing and Retrieval: Organize physical and electronic medical records efficiently for easy retrieval by authorized healthcare professionals.

Patient Information: Ensure that all patient data, including personal details, medical history, treatment plans, and prescriptions, are recorded correctly and are accessible when needed.

Compliance and Legal Requirements:

Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that medical records are maintained in accordance with legal and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and other privacy laws.

Confidentiality: Safeguard patient privacy by ensuring all medical records are handled confidentially and are only shared with authorized personnel.

Audit and Review: Participate in audits and inspections to ensure that medical records meet compliance standards and regulatory requirements.

Documentation and Data Entry:

Data Entry: Enter patient information accurately into the system, ensuring correct documentation of diagnoses, treatments, and medical procedures.

Electronic Health Records (EHR): Work with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring that data is accurately entered, updated, and maintained.

Update Records: Ensure that patient records are updated promptly following each visit or procedure.
