Job Description

Job Summary:

The MBBS Doctor in the OPD is responsible for delivering high-quality outpatient care, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, and ensuring patient well-being through effective consultation, treatment, and follow-up. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to medical protocols and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Consultation:

Conduct thorough medical histories, physical examinations, and assessments.

Diagnose conditions and develop tailored treatment plans.

Address acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic disease management.

Treatment & Prescription:

Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle modifications.

Perform minor procedures (., wound suturing, incisions).

Patient Education:

Advise on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and disease management.

Ensure clear communication of diagnosis and treatment expectations.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) and patient files.

Prepare reports for referrals and legal compliance.

Follow-Up Care:

Schedule and monitor follow-up visits to track patient progress.

Adjust treatment plans based on outcomes.

Compliance & Ethics:

Adhere to clinical protocols, patient confidentiality, and medical ethics.

Stay updated on healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

Team Collaboration:

Work with nurses, paramedics, and administrative staff for efficient OPD operations.

Quality Improvement:

Participate in audits, training, and initiatives to enhance patient care.

Emergency Response:

Provide urgent care for OPD emergencies and stabilize patients for transfer.
