As A Senior Medical Coding Associate (MCA) at WWS you will be responsible for assigning the appropriate code to describe a particular type of service to a patient. Ensuring that the codes are appropriately applied during the insurance process of billing, including removing the information from documentation, assigning the appropriate codes, and creating a claim for reimbursement.
What We Expect
Any Life Science Graduate.
Should have 3+ years of experience in medical coding.
Working knowledge in coding principles and practices including procedures and diagnoses.
Proven experience in administrative medical information management and computer application.
Good communication and analytical skills.
Flexibility in shifts is appreciated.
A Senior Medical Coder’s Ideal Day At WWS
Synopsis evaluation. Review claims to formulate a synopsis of facts and collaborate with claims examiners regarding the synopsis as needed,making corrections to draft reports sent for physician review and submit approved reports to management as scheduled.
Input medical codes. The professionals to quse medical code, provided along with universal code classifications like the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), to prepare medical claims for the medical billers.
Regulatory compliance. Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provide all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating core coding knowledge each and every day.
Analyze data. To retrieve and collect physician background info from various resources for reporting and analyze medical malpractice claims by identifying issues, events, diagnoses, and procedures that resulted in the action.
