Mechanical Technician

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Repair:

o Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, machines, and equipment.

o Diagnose mechanical issues and execute repairs using appropriate tools and techniques.

o Dismantle, repair, and reassemble defective equipment components.

2. Installation & Upgrades:

o Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

o Upgrade or modify mechanical systems to improve efficiency and performance.

3. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:

o Identify and troubleshoot faults in mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

o Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to determine faults and suggest solutions.

4. Safety & Compliance:

o Adhere to workplace safety regulations, ensuring safe working conditions.

o Follow company policies and industry standards in all maintenance activities.

o Participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.

o Report major breakdowns, spare part requirements, and potential risks to supervisors.

6. Collaboration & Support:

o Work closely with the electrical and production teams to ensure equipment availability.

o Train junior technicians or operators on basic maintenance procedures.
