In the basic fitting the skills imparted are sawing, filing, marking, chipping, measurement, riveting, soldering, brazing, drilling and observation of all safety aspects is mandatory. Mechanical fitters fit and assemble metal parts to fabricate production machines and other equipment. They use a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational, they have mandatory knowledge about the work to assembling , maintenance, grinding fitting welding in Gear Box, Hydro cyclone, Conveyor, Magnet separator, Pump. Motor , Slurry Pump. etc. Mechanical fitter provides detailed inspection, troubleshooting, oversight, and diagnosis of operational problems in plant and distribution systems including, Working with the use of workshop equipment such as milling machines and lathes
Setting up and adjusting machine tools and equipment
Constructing and assembling mechanical systems
Liaising with clients in job execution, if required
Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing
Carrying out the construction of structural components according to the plan on blueprints
Examining structural systems with attention to local and state building codes
Overseeing structural systems and ensuring that they are maintained regularly.
