The duties of the Mechanical Designer are amongst others:

Application of the Design Process,

Check the completeness of the inputs received from the Technical Project Manager

and basic engineering department in order to proceed to his/her work,

Provide the engineers with information needed for the project progress,

Issue the execution documentation (mainly GA and detailed drawings) in compliance

with internal standards and contractual requirements,

Issue the execution documentation in compliance with administrative standards,

Issue BOMs (bill of quantities) for raw material purchasing,

Issue and update the standard technical documentation,

Keep his competencies updated with regards to the needs of the Energy Business,

Be proactive in the continuous improvement and REX (return on experience)

processes.
