Roles & Responsibilities:
Mechanical design of static equipment like pressure vessels, heat exchangers, Tanks in accordance with process inputs, design basis, design calculation, detailed fabrication drawings, contractual technical conditions and codes and standards
2. Foundation loads from static equipment are shared with civil and structural department for incorporating in design of modules / skids
3. Mechanical design of rotary equipment like pumps, compressor in accordance with process inputs, design basis, contractual technical conditions and codes and standards
4. Piping design like Selection of Piping MOC, Piping Calculation, Piping Layout, Piping Material Specification, Piping MTO & BOQ, design basis, contractual technical conditions and codes and standards
5. Interface with other departments like Civil & structural during detailed engineering and preparation the 3D model
6. Interface with project support functions such as planning, procurement etc.
7. Support to Supply Chain during procurement viz. preparation of technical specifications and requisitions for obtaining offers, vendor offer evaluation and providing recommendations, preparation of requisition for purchase, review of vendor documents and drawings
8. Assistance during fabrication stages and in inspection to ensure critical technology specific aspects are being met
9. Technical follow- up with vendors/ fabricators through proper communications
10. Guidance to module fabricator during construction of modules for issues relating to erection of static equipment
11. To meet quality and HSE objectives of the project(s)
12. Support to BD Team in preparing manhours and cost estimates for Mechanical department.
13. Explain and discussion with client on design documents
14. Visit project site and resolve the technical queries raised by execution contractors/client.
15. Support during project close- out activities like Final Data Books etc.
