Material QA/QC Inspector

The tasks and duties of the Material QA/QC Inspector includes (but not

limited) to the following:

 Perform inspection at site, warehouse and at the CONTRACTOR

premises on purchased or rented received material or equipment such

as valves, piping, gaskets, fittings, heat exchangers, pressure vessels,

lifting equipment, gas cylinders, etc., to check conformity with purchase

orders and specifications requirement as per QG procedure.

 Perform physical material inspection, dimensional verification, review

Material Test Certificates with respect to the drawings, QG asset

specifications, procedures and ASTM/ASME or equivalent material

specifications, any special requirements, correlate data and provide

disposition on the acceptance / rejection of equipment / materials.

 Prepare Material Inspection reports with the right disposition as per QG

procedure and maintain register of all Receiving inspections performed.

 Extract list of materials in inspector’s queue in SAP, perform

inspections, update SAP material inspection data and clear them in SAP

for further processing.

 Perform periodic MTC and material verification for authenticity and

genuineness by contacting manufacturers (via email) to avoid fake

materials and other anomalies.

 Review pending Material Discrepancy Reports (MDRs) in SAP, review

clarifications from suppliers and provide acceptance/rejection of

materials.

 Perform Supplier performance analysis based on quality aspects with

Receiving Inspection data and prepare analysis reports, providing inputs

on key improvement areas for suppliers and others.

 Review QA/QC Final Dossier documents (Quality plan, Inspection & Test

plan, QA/QC procedure, WPS, Welder qualification record, Operating

Procedures, Method Statements etc.) related to new equipment and

materials being procured.

 Provide inputs for materials related queries to shut down, perform

critical material inspections prior to shut down, perform material

inspections during shutdown execution as
