Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design and Optimization:
Develop and implement manufacturing processes and workflows that improve production efficiency and product quality.
Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
Design and specify manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.
Project Management:
Plan and manage manufacturing projects, including the introduction of new products or processes.
Prepare project plans, budgets, and timelines, and track progress against goals.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Quality Control:
Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards.
Monitor production processes and perform audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Cost Reduction:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction in manufacturing processes and materials.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and other cost-saving measures.
Documentation and Reporting:
Create and maintain detailed documentation for manufacturing processes, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Prepare and present reports on manufacturing performance, project status, and improvement initiatives.
Equipment and Maintenance:
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
Work with maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance schedules.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to production staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure manufacturing processes adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
