Required Skills:
Responsible for shift-wise allocation of job and keeping track of performance
To inspect the incoming materials against the defined standards
To plan and implement the preventive maintenance schedule
To improve the response time to breakdowns
To monitor spares consumption against the budget
To track minimum stock level and update from the history card analysis
To follow-up with Purchase for delivery of spares requirements and other items
To co-ordinate with Stores for smooth flow of materials to shop-floor
To monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment and initiate
re-ordering when necessary
To liaise with Government authorities like GEB and electrical inspectors
To be a part of daily production meeting
To ensure that all statutory requirement relating to the maintenance department are met at all
times
Continuous Improvement
Communicate hold-ups due to unavailability of items or any other reasons to Sores/Purchase
To review the operation of plant equipment and system constantly to minimise unplanned
downtime
To identify and propagate use of quality guidelines, tools, techniques etc.
