Position: Maintenance Engineer
Job Overview: The Machine Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimization of production machinery used in the cables manufacturing process. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine inspections, and ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production machinery, including preventive and corrective actions.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
Replace or repair faulty components, including motors, gears, pumps, and electrical systems.
Inspection and Monitoring:
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
Monitor equipment performance and adjust settings to ensure optimal operation.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
Prepare and submit reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities to the Maintenance Manager.
Collaboration and Training:
Work closely with production teams to minimize equipment downtime and address any machinery-related concerns.
Provide training and support to other staff members on proper machine operation and safety procedures.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
Ensure that all machinery and equipment comply with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent technical certification.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the cables industry.
