cargo handling: safe and secure loading and unloading of various cargo types, including containers, flat racks, and curtainsiders.
equipment operation: operate lifting equipment such as forklifts for devanning and reloading containers and trailers.
data recording: accurately record key milestones during loading or unloading, including taking photos when applicable.
health and safety: report and adhere to safe working practices.
yard duties: perform other yard duties as required.
additional responsibilities:
data input: provide accurate information to the admin team for system updating.
relationship building: foster strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
team support: assist colleagues within the transport team as needed.
problem solving: identify and resolve transport-related issues efficiently.
cost control: monitor transport costs and seek opportunities for cost reduction.
performance management: track kpis and implement process improvements.

essential criteria:
minimum of 6 months training in rigging, cargo lashing, port-based operations, or handling
out-gauge cargo.

problem solving: proven ability to problem-solve and find solutions under pressure.
