KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all repair and maintenance activities to ensure a seamless guest experience;

• Ensure the property is kept in pristine condition, meeting brand standards;

• Develop and execute a comprehensive preventative maintenance programme;

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive hotel maintenance schedule;

• Supervise and maintain all technical systems and installations;

• Engage and manage contractor and supplier relationships, ensuring maximum value for the hotel;

• Lead compliance with Health & Safety regulations, creating a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. Conduct routine inspections and audits to identify and resolve potential issues. Maintain records of certifications, inspections, and regulatory compliance;

• Monitor and optimise utility usage to enhance environmental sustainability and ESG performance;

• Understand and manage departmental budgets, with a focus on performance tracking and cost control.;

• Assist in forecasting and planning departmental financials, including CAPEX. Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance and operational needs promptly;

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of three engineers, focusing on their growth and performance. Schedule and supervise maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Right to work in the UK

• 4+ years’ experience in a high-end hotel, preferably with pre-opening exposure

• Proven leadership and team management skills in an engineering environment

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders

• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances
